1. NAME AND TITLE
RFUNC: Code System to Analyze Differential Scattering Data.
AUXILIARY CODES
RFUNC_X: Calculates contributions from various spin groups.
MAKPA: Converts a SAMMY (PSR-158) parameter file into a file readable by RFUNC and RFUNCT_XT.
2. CONTRIBUTOR
Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
3. CODING LANGUAGE AND COMPUTER
Fortran 77; VAX family.
4. NATURE OF PROBLEM SOLVED
RFUNC is used to analyze high resolution differential elastic-scattering data from spin zero nuclides in the resonance energy region at ORELA.
5. METHOD OF SOLUTION
RFUNC is based upon the real R-function formalism which ignores the capture reaction channel since only resonances having neutron widths much larger than their capture widths are observed in the differential scattering data.
6. RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS
RFUNC only deals with scattering from spin zero nuclides.
7. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME
The sample input took only a few seconds on a VAX 6000 under the VAX/VMS operating system.
8. COMPUTER HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
The code runs on the VAX family of computers.
9. COMPUTER SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
The code was written in Fortran 77 and uses VAX Fortran compiler under the VMS operating system.
