1. NAME AND TITLE
DANCOFF-3: Calculates Dancoff Correction.
2. CONTRIBUTOR
Allgemeine Elektricitats-Gesellschaft, Frankfurt, Germany, through the NEA DB.
3. CODING LANGUAGE AND COMPUTER
Fortran IV; VAX
4. NATURE OF PROBLEM SOLVED
DANCOFF-3 calculates the Dancoff correction for cylindrical fuel rods in square and hexagonal
infinite lattices, for fuel element rods near water gaps, and for fuel rod clusters.
5. METHOD OF SOLUTION
Evaluation is done by direct numerical integration over the moderator region.
6. RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS
None noted.
7. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME
Seconds to minutes, depending on complexity of lattice and number of Dancoff corrections
calculated. NEA-DB ran the test case included in this package on a VAX 8810 computer in about 2
seconds of CPU time.
8. COMPUTER HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
Developed on IBM 7040 and converted to run on VAX at NEA DB. 320 K bytes of VAX 8810
main storage.
9. COMPUTER SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Fortran compiler under VMS 5.0.
