1. NAME AND TITLE
COMPLOT: Convert EXFOR Format Data to Computation Format and Plot Comparisons of EXFOR and ENDF/B Evaluated Data (Version 86-1).
X4TOC4: Translate Experimental Data from EXFOR Format to Computation Format.
PLOTC4: Plot Evaluated Data from the ENDF/B Format and/or Experimental Data Which Is in a Computation Format.
2. CONTRIBUTOR
International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna Austria.
3. CODING LANGUAGE AND COMPUTER
Fortran 77; IBM.
4. NATURE OF PROBLEM SOLVED
The X4TOC4 program translates data from the rather flexible EXFOR format to a more rigid "computation format" which is suitable for input to further computer processing of the data including graphical plotting. The PLOTC4 program plots both EXFOR data processed with X4TOC4 and ENDF data.
5. METHOD OF SOLUTION
The computation format is point oriented (as opposed to the table oriented EXFOR format.) It uses a classification system and units which are compatible with ENDF/B.
6. RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS
Graphics capabilities are required for PLOTC4. For the IBM PC version, a Hewlett Packard plotter is needed.
7. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME
X4TOC4 took about 2 seconds on the IBM 3033 under the MVS operating system using the sample input.
8. COMPUTER HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
These programs were designed to operate on virtually any type of computer from large mainframes all the way down to IBM-PC-AT computers. The EXFOR routines have run on IBM 3033, IBM 3084 and IBM-PC-AT computers.
9. COMPUTER SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
The EXFOR routines require a Fortran 77 compiler and have run under both IBM MVS and DOS. The X4TOC4 code was run at RSIC on an IBM 3033 under MVS.
