1. NAME AND TITLE
PLOTENDF: A Program for Producing Graphical Output.
2. CONTRIBUTOR
CNEN - Centro di Calcolo, Bologna, Italy, through the NEA Data Bank, Gif-sur-Yvette, France.
3. CODING LANGUAGE AND COMPUTER
Fortran IV; IBM 370.
4. NATURE OF PROBLEM SOLVED
PLOTENDF produces graphical output of ENDF/B materials.
5. METHOD OF SOLUTION
Only file 3 (cross sections) is plotted; MT=1, 2, and 102 (total, scattering, and capture) are
produced on a log-log scale. The remaining reactions are produced on a linear scale.
6. RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS
All sections must be in pointwise form (no resonance parameters). For this purpose, the RESEND code e. g. should be run before. All the materials of a given tape are plotted. When RESEND has not been run before, only the background is plotted.
The PLINE and BGNPLT routines have to be rewritten in order to run the program with a non-CALCOMP plotter.
7. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME
24 seconds for Uranium-238 (MAT=1262) on an IBM 370/168 under OS/MVS2.
8. COMPUTER HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
PLOTENDF uses 120 kbytes of core memory, 1 tape unit, and a graphic device.
9. COMPUTER SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
A Fortran IV compiler is required.
10. REFERENCE
No formal report is available.
11. CONTENTS OF CODE PACKAGE
Included is one (1.2MB) DOS diskette which contains the source program and test-case data and
output.
12. DATE OF ABSTRACT
September 1985.
