1. NAME AND TITLE
S1CALC: A Multigroup Thermal Neutron Scattering Law Data Generator for Hydrogen and
Deuterium.
AUXILIARY ROUTINE
RISLEY
2. CONTRIBUTOR
United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, Winfrith, Dorchester, Dorset, England, through the
OECD NEA Data Bank, Gif-sur-Yvette, France.
3. CODING LANGUAGE AND COMPUTER
Fortran IV and Assembler Language; IBM 360/370.
4. NATURE OF PROBLEM SOLVED
S1CALC prepares multigroup thermal neutron scattering data for hydrogen in light water and
deuterium in heavy water.
5. METHOD OF SOLUTION
The computations are done in the range of 293oK to 620oK. The data for hydrogen in light water
are based on Nelkin's model and for deuterium in heavy water on Honeck's model.
6. RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS
None noted.
7. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME
No study has been made by RSIC of typical running times for S1CALC.
8. COMPUTER HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
S1CALC is operable on the IBM 360/370 computers.
9. COMPUTER SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
Fortran IV and Assembler Language compilers are required.
