RSIC COMPUTER CODE PSR-069

1. NAME AND TITLE

POWER: Source Distribution Input Data Generator for ANISN Code.

2. CONTRIBUTOR

Babcock and Wilcox, Lynchburg, Virginia.

3. CODING LANGUAGE AND COMPUTER

Fortran IV; CDC 7600.

4. NATURE OF PROBLEM SOLVED

POWER creates data input for use by ANISN. It can generate the source distribution array, the shell source array, the zone by interval array, the density factor array, and the interval array. A POWER run and an ANISN run can be made in the same run; this allows ANISN input creation and execution in the same computer job.

5. METHOD OF SOLUTION

ANISN input is read into POWER and the appropriate arrays are generated and placed in the proper sequence on a disk file which ANISN will read. The program first reads data for its own use and generates specific arrays for ANISN, then the program continues reading the ANISN input deck and inserts the appropriate arrays in the proper sequence.

6. RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS

None noted.

7. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME

No study has been made by RSIC of typical running times for POWER.

8. COMPUTER HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

POWER is operable on the CDC 7600 computers.

9. COMPUTER SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

A Fortran IV compiler is required.

10. REFERENCE

Informal notes - user's manual.

11. CONTENTS OF CODE PACKAGE

Included are the user's manual and one (1.2MB) DOS diskette which contains the source code and sample problem input.

12. DATE OF ABSTRACT

February 1984.
