RSIC COMPUTER CODE PSR-042

1. NAME AND TITLE

DUFOLD: Derivative Unfolding Code - Determination of Neutron Spectra from NE-213 Pulse Height Data.

AUXILIARY ROUTINES

NUDASBIN

ANGEF

2. CONTRIBUTOR

Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas.

3. CODING LANGUAGE AND COMPUTER

Fortran IV; IBM 360/370.

4. NATURE OF PROBLEM SOLVED

DUFOLD determines neutron energy spectra to obtain meaningful and reproducible radiation effects information.

5. METHOD OF SOLUTION

DUFOLD develops a suitable unfolding technique, based on a derivative method. The effects of varying scintillator size are considered and it is applicable for various neutron angular distributions.

6. RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS

None noted.

7. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME

No study has been made by RSIC of typical running times for DUFOLD.

8. COMPUTER HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

DUFOLD is operable on the IBM 360/370 computers.

9. COMPUTER SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

A Fortran IV compiler is required.

10. REFERENCE
