4. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND AND INFORMATION
A complete activation data library IEAF-2001 (Intermediate Energy Activation File) has been developed in standard ENDF-6 format with neutron-induced activation cross sections for 679 target nuclides from Z=1 (hydrogen) to Z=84 (polonium) and incident neutron energies up to 150 MeV. Using the NJOY processing code, an IEAF-2001 working library has been prepared in a 256 energy group structure for enabling activation analyses of the IFMIF D-Li neutron source. This library was applied to the activation analysis of the IFMIF high flux test module (HFTM) using the recent ALARA activation code which is capable of handling the variety of reaction channels open in the energy domain above 20 MeV. The IEAF-2001 activation library was thus shown to be suitable for activation analyses in fusion technology and intermediate energy applications such as the IFMIF D-Li neutron source.

6. SOURCE AND SCOPE OF DATA
The Intermediate Energy Activation File IEAF-2001 Version 1 is a compilation of neutron-induced activation cross sections in ENDF-6 data format for activation analysis in fusion technology and intermediate energy applications. The total number of reaction channels with activation cross-section data is 134,431. The European Activation File EAF-99 served as basis for the activation data below 20 MeV neutron energy. Threshold reaction cross-sections were evaluated on the basis of geometry dependent hybrid exciton and evaporation models using a modified version of the ALICE code. A groupwise IEAF-2001 data library has been prepared for 256 energy groups in GENDF data format. The IEAF-2001 CD-ROM contains both the pointwise ENDF and the groupwise GENDF data files.
7. DISCUSSION OF THE DATA RETRIEVAL PROGRAM
The IEAF-2001 data library can be processed with standard ENDF processing tools such as NJOY.
8. DATA FORMAT AND COMPUTER
IEAF-2001 activation data are stored as lumped MT=5 (n,anything) cross-sections in the MF=3 section of the ENDF data file. Reaction product yields are stored in the MF=6 section using the LAW=0 representation.. An activation code capable of handling an arbitrary number of reaction channels is required for using IEAF-2001 data in activation calculations. Data and related documentation are not computer dependent. The disk space required to store all files is about 2 GB (324 MB for the library and 1.69 GB for the processed NJOY files). 9. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME
No test cases were run at the NEA-DB or at RSICC. An example of the processing of the library into the multigroup form with the code NJOY is included in the package. No input data for the test cases are provided in the package, but the input scheme used can be easily deduced from the NJOY output files.
