1. NAME AND TITLE
PNESD: Proton Nucleus Elastic Scattering Data.
2. NAME AND TITLE OF DATA RETRIEVAL PROGRAMS
LISTDA: Lists data.
LISTRE: Lists references.
LISTAD: Lists index to the data.
3. CONTRIBUTOR
International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna, Austria through the OECD NEA Data Bank, Issy-les-Moulineaux, France.
4. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND AND INFORMATION
No information is available.
5. APPLICATION OF THE DATA
The Proton Nucleus Elastic Scattering Data file PNESD contains the numerical data and the related bibliography for the differential elastic cross sections, polarization and integral nonelastic cross sections for elastic proton-nucleus scattering.
6. SOURCE AND SCOPE OF THE DATA
The data for 80 nuclides ranging from 1H2 through 92U(Nat) are presented. The energy range of the incident proton is from 3 MeV to 1000 MeV. Only data in tabular form are included which are found in familiar literature of nuclear physics. In general data published in internal reports of institutes were not taken into consideration.
7. DISCUSSION OF THE DATA RETRIEVAL PROGRAM
The retrieval programs are written in Fortran. Both source and executable files are included in the package. The Microsoft 5.0 compiler was used to create these executables under the MS-DOS 5.0 operating system.
8. DATA FORMAT AND COMPUTER
The data are in ASCII card images.
9. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME
Each program ran less than 1 second on a PC 80486 33MH.
10. REFERENCE
N. DayDay, "PNESD: Proton Nucleus Elastic Scattering Data," IAEA-NDS-22 (December 1979).
11. CONTENTS OF CODE PACKAGE
The data files, Fortran sources, executable files, batch files and sample output files are transmitted on one DS/HD 3.5-in. (1.44MB) diskette in DOS format.
12. DATE OF ABSTRACT
August 1993.
