1. NAME AND TITLE OF DATA LIBRARY
JFS: 70 Group Neutron Fast Reactor Cross Section Set and 25 Group Neutron Fast
Reactor Cross Section Set.
2. NAME AND TITLE OF DATA RETRIEVAL PROGRAMS
The CONDENSE CODE was prepared to collapse both the JAERI 70 Group and 25 Group Fast-Set.
3. CONTRIBUTOR

4. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND AND INFORMATION
Japanese Evaluated Nuclear Data library DLC-070/JENDL-1 has been developed in JAERI in
cooperation with Japanese Nuclear Data Committee. JENDL-2B is an updated version of JENDL-1.
The group constant set of the JFS-2 type generated from JENDL-2B was called JENDL-2B-70 and is
used for the analyses in JUPITER (Japanese United States Program of Integral Tests and Experimental
Researches) project. JFS-3-J2 is an advanced set for JENDL-2B-70.
5. APPLICATION OF THE DATA
These multigroup cross sections are used in fast reactor calculations. The benchmark calculations
for the 23 fast critical assemblies used in the benchmark tests of JFS-2 were performed with one-dimensional diffusion theory by using the JFS-3-J2 set.
6. SOURCE AND SCOPE OF DATA
The JFS set is an advanced set for JENDL-2B-70 which was produced as the group constants of the JAERI-Fast set type. The JFS has been produced with the use of the processing code system CONDENSE. Shielding factors are provided for 8 background cross sections (0 and 1 to 106 in decades), temperatures of 300-, 800-, 2100-, and 4500-K and 4 mutual shielding parameters for important heavy resonant materials.
The library contains data for the following elements:
10B, 11B, C, O, Na, Al, Cr, Fe, Ni, Cu, 235U, 238U, 239Pu, 240Pu, 241Pu.
7. DISCUSSION OF THE DATA RETRIEVAL PROGRAM
The CONDENSE Code was prepared to collapse "The JAERI-Fast-Set Version-1 70 Group Set"
to "25-Group Set."
8. DATA FORMAT AND COMPUTER
EBCDIC card images; IBM 3033.
9. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME
No study has been made by RSICC of typical running times for JFS.
