4. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND AND INFORMATION

This cross section library in a 640 group structure of the CCC0112/SAND-II type is an updated and extended version of the RSIC package DLC-81/DOSDAM77-81.

5. APPLICATION OF THE DATA

DOSDAM81-82 forms a convenient source of evaluated energy dependent cross section sets which may be used in the determination of neutron spectra by means of adjustment (or unfolding) procedures or which can be used for the determination of integral parameters (such as damage-to-activation ratio) useful in characterizing the neutron spectra.

6. SOURCE AND SCOPE OF DATA

The library contains energy dependent fine group cross section values for a number of reactions which are applied in neutron metrology and in neutron activation spectrometry. It contains data from the ENDF/B-V file supplemented with information from the ENDF/B-IV and from the INDL/V.

The selection of the reactions from the evaluated nuclear data libraries was determined by various properties of the reactions for neutron metrology. For this reason, all the well-known reactions of the ENDF/B-V dosimetry file are included. However, these data are supplemented with cross section sets for less well known metrology reactions which may come of interest. Not much experimental information is available for these types of reactions and it is, therefore, recommended that these data should be used with caution.
