1. NAME AND TITLE
STAX-2: Neutron Scattering Cross-Sections by Optical Model and Moldauer Theory with Hauser-Feshbach.
2. CONTRIBUTOR
JAERI,
Tokai, Japan through the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency Data Bank,
Issy-les-Moulineaux, France.
3. CODING LANGUAGE AND COMPUTER
Fortran IV; IBM 360 Series (C00821I036000).
4. NATURE OF PROBLEM SOLVED
STAX-2 calculates neutron scattering cross sections by means of the optical model and Moldauer's theory, and can search for potential parameters which reproduce measured cross sections. The Hauser-Feshbach calculation is also possible.
5. METHOD OF SOLUTION
None listed.
6. RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS
The maximum number of levels is 25. The largest value of the orbital angular momentum is 10.
7. TYPICAL RUNNING TIME
In case of four levels 6 seconds without parameter search and 8 seconds for each step of search on four parameters.
8. COMPUTER HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
IBM 360 (32k core memory is required).
9. COMPUTER SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
IBM 360 OS.
