ID#: P00494DVX1100 RSICC#: PSR-494 CODE PKG NAME: MINTEQ COMPUTER: DEC VAX11 PACKAGED: 08/22/2001 ********************************************************************************* Transmitted on one-3.5" HD diskette with a self-extracting PkWare(r) executable WINDOWS (r) file. Name Size FILE Description ********************************************************************************* MINTEQ EXE 145,119 self-extracting PkWare(R) executable for the DEC VAX11 source, data, and sample files. Extracting files from MINTEQ.EXE will create the following files in C:\MINTEQ subdirectory by default: 1 MINTEQ.FOR 92,946 MINTEQ FORTRAN source 2 ALK.DAT 157 Alkalinity factors 3 ANALYT.DAT 1,065 Coefficients for computing log K from a polynomial function of temperature, data library 4 COMMON.DAT 770 COMMON file for subroutines 5 COMP.DAT 2,447 Component data library 6 SAMPLE.DAT 2,049 Sample seawater specification problem 7 SEAWATER.DAT 2,049 Same as 6 above 8 TYPE6.DAT 61,862 Thermodynamic data for TYPE 6 solids 9 THERMO.DAT 117,197 Thermodynamic data for the aqueous species, solids, redox couples, and dissolved gases 10 MINOUT.DAT 136,428 Sample problem output 10 file(s) 416,970 bytes Files 1-7 contain 80-character records, 8-9 contain 91-character, file 10 contains 110-character records. ********************************************************************************** To implement MINTEQ on a DEC VAX11, assign logical unit 6 as the output file. The default for unit 6 is the terminal. The library data file names cannot be changed, and the input data file must be named SAMPLE.DAT. The sample problem is also supplied as SEAWATER.DAT to avoid the possibility of being overwritten by the user. The INCLUDE file for the COMMON information must be named COMMON.DAT. Notes by C. Yuelys-Miksis at NESC (June 3, 1988) ********************************************************************************** When MINTEQ was submitted to the National Energy Software Center at Argonne National Lab in 1988, MINTEQ was tested on a DEC Vax 11 under VMS 4.5 witn the Vax Fortran 77 compiler. It was not retested or modified when it was transferred to RSICC and released in August 2001. The files were downloaded to PC and compressed to provide a convenient way to transfer them. Expanding files from distribution media: To extract the files from MINTEQ.EXE, insert media on a Windows PC, access drive, double-click on the self-extracting executable and the files will extract to their respective subdirectory (default choice; see above). No executables file is included with this package. See the reference documents NESC Note 88-74 for file details and NUREG/CR-4808 for details on package execution.
