POLYRES is independent of the operating system.  It was initially submitted
to ESTSC in 1995 then translated to RSICC and rereleased in January 2002.
The software was run successfully at RSICC on an IBM RS/6000 under AIX 4.2.1
with the XL Fortran 5.1.1.0 compiler.
