AXMIX, AMP and GIP were tested at RSIC on an IBM RS/6000 running AIX 3.2.5 
using XL FORTRAN 3.2.2.3.

In the May 1996 update, no changes were made to AXMIX and AMP.  Some common blocks
for GIP (which were omitted from the original release) were added.  The GIP source
is from C00543/MFMWS/04 TORT-DORT 2.12.14.
