Notes: The source code was run at RSIC on a Northgate PC486-50MHZ under 
       MS-DOS 6.0 with 8 megabytes of memory.
       It was compiled with Microsoft Optimizing Compiler Version 5.00 and 
       Microsoft Fortran (R) Segmented-Executable Linker Version 5.03
       with the DOS command "FL /Fs bcd2bin.for"

       The source must be edited as the open statements specify reading input 
       hilo86r.dat from drive D:\ and write output hilo86r.bin to drive E:\.
