SCALE6.1 was fully tested on Linux, Intel Mac OSX and personal computers 
running Windows.

Minimum Requirements: 2 GB RAM per CPU, 30 GB of disk space + additional space 
to store output results  
Recommended Requirements: 4 GB RAM per CPU, 30 GB of disk space + 100 GB of 
scratch space + additional space to store output results. 
Production Requirements: 64 GB RAM, 30 GB of disk space + 500 GB of scratch 
space + additional space to store output results 

SCALE 6.1 was compiled and tested at RSICC on the following systems: 
   • Intel Xeon running Fedora Core 5 with Intel Fortran version 12.0.4 and 
     GNU gcc 4.6.1
   • AMD Opteron running RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 with Intel ifort version
     12.0.4 and gcc 4.6.1
   • Intel Mac OS X with Intel Fortran 13.1 compiler and GNU gcc 4.6.1

Note:  Executables require the Java runtime environment for installation.
