Notes indicate SIMMER II ran on CRAY 1, DEC VAX and CDC. The package was not modified or tested when it was transferred to RSICC and released in September 2003. Source code, corrections, cross section data, and sample problems are included in this version. The first SIMMER-II release was packaged by NESC in July 1983. Note: At RSICC, the files were downloaded from 9-track tape to diskette. To begin the process of using SIMMER II, extract files from the SIMMER II.EXE by double-clicking the icon in WINDOWS 95 or better. The files will automatically extract to C:\SIMMERII subdirectory. Note from authors: The nine-group cross section files ISOTXS and BRKOXS must be converted to binary using the auxiliary BINX program prior to a SIMMER2 run. The SIMMER2 proprocessor described in NUREG/CR-0453 was removed by authors.
